About the Play

Comedy. 40-55 minutes (dependent on level of audience interaction). 1-20 males, 1-20 females (8-30 performers possible). Middle school and older performers, and audiences of all ages. First performance royalty: $60. Each additional performance: $35. All licenses include permission to make copies of the script as necessary for production. Synopsis

Children will actively participate in these four updated and charming folk tales from around the world. In The Giant Wave, a Grandfather’s selfless action saves a town in Japan; in The Robber's Contest, two brilliant thieves dazzle their foes with clever pantomime and physical comedy (Russia); in Three Wishes, two sisters struggle with making the right wish (Europe); and in The Great Treasure, a father learns to value true riches (China).
